Tasuwwar Umeed Foundation
Empowering Futures, Transforming Lives, Building a Brighter Future for Children in Underserved Communities.
Our Story
The Tasuwwar Umeed Foundation was formed in 1998 by Mr. Muhammad Tasuwwar Siddiqui (late) as a non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable children literacy foundation. Its main objective was to struggle for the rise in literacy rate of Pakistan. Its primary objective was to establish educational institutions in slum areas of Karachi city. For this purpose early child development center up to the Matric level was established in Orangi town. An overwhelming response was observed and thousands of children who belonged to less privileged areas were able to reach higher educational institutions. We do these through well-planned and comprehensive projects in Education, Vocational training, Recreational facilities, Health awareness activities, Leadership, Readership & Creative skills developments, Live career counseling and many more. We carryout skill building and educational activities to empower the new generation from poor and marginalized communities and improve their lives and livelihoods by beacon light of education.

Paigham-e-Pakistan Initiative
The Paigham-e-Pakistan Jail Program is a groundbreaking initiative by the TUF to provide scholarships to the children of convicted prisoners. It ensures access to quality education from school to university, including vocational and technical training. The program offers monthly financial support and microfinancing up to Rs. 500,000 to empower families economically. It also protects the dignity of children by keeping their association with imprisoned parents confidential. By promoting inclusion, education, and self-reliance, this initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty and incarceration, fostering hope, social harmony, and national unity among some of Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities.
